Schütz's Der Schwanengesang

After 25 years shaping The Song Company into one of Australia’s most admired ensembles, Roland Peelman returns to direct a landmark project. At its centre is Heinrich Schütz’s Der Schwanengesang - a monumental setting of Psalm 119, completed in 1671 as a last(ing) statement of moral and musical values. Written for two antiphonal quartets, this performance features sixteen voices, revealing a depth of colour, resonance and scale.
