Biography
Stephanie Dillon is a Sydney-based mezzo soprano. Born and raised in Moree in country NSW, she graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Music/Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Classical Voice. Stephanie has been a chorister and soloist with the Choir of St James’ King Street since 2017. She also performs as a soloist and ensemble singer with numerous professional ensembles in Sydney, including Pinchgut Opera, The Song Company, Cantillation, Bach Akademie Australia, Collegium Musicum Choir at UNSW, Sydney Antiphony and Luminescence Chamber Singers. Recent highlights include Arvo Pärt’s Passio at the Tapestry of Sacred Music Festival in Singapore, tours and performances with The Song Company including performing at the 2020 Adelaide Festival, Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater, Haydn’s Creation Mass, several Bach cantatas, and Handel’s Messiah Canberra Choral Society and Sydney Chamber Choir. In addition to her work as a performer, Stephanie works in arts administration and arts education.
